Privacy

Codepiko is made for children. That’s why we know as little about you as we can: there are no accounts, and we don’t ask for personal information.

Last updated: October 31, 2026

In short

  • No accounts, passwords or email addresses.
  • No cookies or ads. There is only a cookieless visit counter that does not identify anyone (explained below).
  • Your progress is saved only on the device you use, inside your browser.
  • Your Python code and AI experiments run in your browser; they are not sent to a server.

What is saved on your device

To remember where you left off, the site uses your browser’s local storage (localStorage). It holds:

  • The name you type in your profile and the avatar you pick
  • Finished levels, stars, XP and badges
  • Your program in the drawing workshop and the drawings you save
  • The examples you give the AI experiments
  • Settings such as theme and sound

None of this comes to us. Only someone using the same device and browser can see it.

Deleting and moving

If you clear this site’s data in your browser settings, everything is deleted and can’t be brought back. To move your progress to another device, use the backup code in your profile. The backup code contains your name and progress, so share it only with people you trust.

Share links

When you press Share in the drawing workshop, your drawing’s program is written into the link. The link doesn’t contain your name or anything else about you; it only opens the drawing. Whoever you send it to can see it.

Visit counter

To see how much the site is used, we use a cookieless counter called Umami. It counts which pages are opened and content events such as “level 5 finished”.

  • It does not use cookies or local storage.
  • It does not send your name, your avatar, your code or your drawings.
  • It does not store your IP address. Details such as country and device type are shown only as totals.
  • It does not send the part of the address after the question mark (for example a shared drawing code).
  • It does not run at all if your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting is on.

We use these numbers to improve the site and to show organizations how much Codepiko is used. They are not used for ads and are never sold.

Server logs

The site is hosted by Hostinger. As with any website, the hosting company keeps technical logs of page requests (IP address, date, requested address, browser type) for a while, for security and troubleshooting. We don’t use these logs to identify anyone or for advertising.

For parents and teachers

The parent page shows only the progress on that device. The site has no classes, accounts or student tracking. To see your child’s progress on another device, use the backup code in the profile.

Changes

If we ever add accounts, visitor analytics or another service, we will update this page first and say clearly what changed.
